The following items make up the MOOSE notebook.

(Management Of Organizational Skills Everyday)

You can read about what each item is used for.

A clear-view 1" 3-ring binder.

Inside back - Homework; Inside front - Notes from School & Things To Turn In

A zipper pouch: To hold money or important notes (Look for pouches with clear view windows or mesh pockets...so you can see the enclosed money easily! I will also keep word wall words on index cards in the pouch this year-in another section.)

Behavior Form: Checked daily by teacher and parent.

Notebook paper: A record of correspondence between the teacher and parent(s). Date each entry and leave in the notebook the entire year.

Clear sleeve protector: To keep class schedule, lunch menu, newsletter, etc.

Plastic Pocket: Where "Super Duper Work" goes

(Once I found mine at the Dollar Tree - 2 for $1 during back to school)

This is another option: Avery Double Pocket Plastic Dividers. I got 5 tabs and the product number is 81824. (one per child) These worked great--but fold papers before putting in.

You may want to have sections for more things such as weekly poems and/or reading logs! Customize the book to fit your needs.
