This is the view you see when you walk in the room. The student tables are not in this configuration for very long. After about 3 weeks, I put them into cooperative groups of 4 each. The far cabinets house various manipulatives and games. The far right is our classroom library. The tall white shelf has books sorted by theme. On top are the student book boxes, where they keep up to 5 books for SSR. To the right is the front of the room. To the left is the art area, which is in front of a microwave on the far left counter.
